Ruby is a name of  a local restaurant in Naha City which offers authentic and traditional Japanese cuisines in Okinawa style. This is owned by an 84-year-old okinawan couple. 

As the name suggests, this restaurant has been serving millions of people from all walks of life for 84 years. As a matter of fact, this is now managed by their children. Ruby really lasts forever simply because it is fueled with love and passion to serve the people.

There are various of dishes to choose from and it is self-ordered style with the use of vending machine. The price ranges from 500 to 800 yen with much serving so it’s totally worth it.

And this is my first order:

Sukiyaki~ The most interesting about this dish is that, I need to dip the things from the bowl into the egg bowl before I can take a bite. It takes time but it’s worth the taste.

“Onnaka ippai!” (feeling full) Right after eating, I got a chance to take a photo of the staffs despite their busy routine at work.
“Isshyoni syashinwo totte iidesuka?” (May I take a photo with you?) Very friendly enough to spare their time taking a photo with me. 🙂
